COURTNEY// NATURALLY: EDGY
April 6, 2017
Courtney is a wild woman. Not just in the way that she deeply connects to nature, through being a florist but also in how she connects to herself. As an artist, she’s known to connect to her feminine side through exploring the power of the vagina (her recent exhibition at The Laneway Loft wowed all that attended!) and in her quest for gender equality. Maybe wild woman doesn’t cut it; it’s that she is such a proud woman, she encourages us to stand strong in our individuality and view beauty in the bold.
Her approach to her look is no different. Every day you see her, she is vibing a totally different look. But all her looks are so strongly defined you can’t help but have a major style crush.
We want to approach her makeup look just as she approaches style … with an edge. This makeup look shows that sometimes you don’t need a full coverage foundation and a super structured look, sometimes all you need is a little bit of concealer and some brows & liner!
So let’s listen to how Courtney backs her beauty! #backyourbeauty
Questionnaire
What helps you to feel beautiful?
Healthy skin and hair. Confidence in my approach to the day, could simply be a bangin’ outfit!
How do you back your own beauty?
Laughing helps—alongside a good mud mask and moisturising routine. By enjoying life and creating memorable experiences.
What’s the one product in your makeup bag you cant live without?
Eyebrow pencil. Strong brows make me feel extra sassy and confident.
Why do you use makeup?
I only really use makeup for special occasions. I like that for centuries human nature is to get all lavish when you’re celebrating!
If you could give one piece of advice to other women on how they can back their beauty, what would it be?
Simply find what works for you. Individuality is key! You’ve got to have character, its infectiously beautiful.
